3RD AND 4TH YEAR SPANISH REQUIREMENTS 2004-2005

Requisitos del colegio West Albany High - En Español

Course Description:
Spanish 3/4 is a class where we will learn about Latin America and how its people and culture affect us here in the U.S.  The student will learn about the Latin family, their traditions, governments and immigration by the use of cultural readers and authentic literature and films.  Weekly, students will research articles and then present them orally in Spanish to the class and lead class discussions.  Our focus is to dispel negative stereotyping, to search for Hispanic role models in our communities and to appreciate their contributions and influences on the fields of fine arts, science, politics, education and employment.  As we foster pride and skill in the use of the Spanish language we hope to communicate and to know ourselves better.
