 General Class Policies

Your behavior will allow me to give you my best and not be distracted.  Thank you for joining the class!

a.  5 academic points for completed assignments / 0 for incomplete or not done.       Due at the beginning of the period.  Will not be accepted late for credit except for excused absences.

b.  20 points for daily oral & written testing.  (If you know you will be gone, take these early!)   Unexcused Tardies during daily  testing will be recorded as a 0.

 Get assignments before school, after school or at the end of the period the day you return.   Need to leave class early?  Assignment is still due!

Serious illness and extended absences can require special arrangements.  Please see me.

        Absence the day before the test does not excuse you; you will take the test.

        Tests are made up before or after school.  NOT AT LUNCH!

        At teacher's discretion test may be made up during an open or study hall

        BE READY TO TAKE TEST WHEN YOU RETURN FROM AN ABSENCE.

        Enter quietly.  Do not talk or interrupt.

        Copying another paper, using notes, talking during quizzes and tests are all considered cheating.

        All persons involved will receive a zero.

        KEEP YOUR OWN PAPERS COVERED AND OUT OF VIEW TO OTHERS!

        10 (20 in 3rd-4th year) participation/skill building points per day.  Approximately 100 total each six weeks.

        Participate in oral exercises and group activities as instructed.

        Show me that you are listening and ready to be called on.

v      Benchmark Test – Oral Proficiency (end of each semester)

v      Course work performance grade (CPG – homework, classroom work, written & oral achievement tests)
